Rule
A residence permit granted to a foreign student pursuing associate, bachelor's, master's or doctoral study at a higher-education institution in the TRNC is granted for a maximum of one year at a time, renewed according to the length of study.[1]
Practical implication
A student residence permit must be renewed at least once a year, rather than covering an entire two-year study block in one grant, for as long as this amendment remains in force.
