According to PRIO Cyprus Centre, amendment 52/1995 elevated the "definitive possession certificate" issued under Law 41/1977 to the status of an immovable property title deed (koçan), so that any such certificate is read as a title deed with the same meaning as under the Immovable Property (Tenure, Registration and Valuation) Law, Cap. 224.
