A Time-limited Work Permit is valid only for the named employer, workplace and profession

Rule record · last verified 22 September 2026

In force. Start date not confirmed in this record.

Rule

A foreign worker's Time-limited Work Permit is valid only for the named employer, workplace and profession stated on it; working elsewhere without following the separately regulated transfer procedure is not permitted.[1][2]

Exceptions

  • This rule covers the employer-tie restriction only, directly confirmed by the Regulation's own text and corroborated by the Ministry FAQ. The special transfer procedure Article 16(2) itself refers to (for transfers within the same employer's other workplaces, or between companies sharing a common partner) is delegated to a further implementing yönetmelik that was not located — confirmed not present within the Regulation itself by a full-text search. This rule excludes the transfer procedure's actual conditions. The Ministry's own online portal lists a 'Lateral Transfer Application' service, confirming some mechanism exists in current administrative practice, but its conditions remain unread.
