Visa extension: online application at least five business days before expiry

Rule

An application to extend a visa or e-Vize period granted on entry to the TRNC is made online through GöçSis, at the latest five business days before the current visa period ends.[1]

Conditions

  • The applicant already holds a visa or e-Vize granted on entry and is applying to extend it under one of the regulation's existing extension grounds (a paid, receipted accommodation reservation; an undocumented property purchase; or the Chief Immigration Officer's discretion) — this provision governs the application procedure and deadline, not the grounds themselves, which are unchanged.

Editorial note

This rule applies to visitors, not to foreigners generally: this procedure governs extending a visa/e-Vize granted on entry, which by definition applies to someone who does not yet hold a residence permit. The three underlying grounds for an extension (Article 10(1)(A)-(C)) are unchanged from the baseline text; what changed is only this application procedure and deadline.
