Visa extension fee is not refunded if the extension is refused or the visa is cancelled

Rule

The fee charged for a visa or e-Vize extension application, set out in the regulation's Second Schedule, is not refunded to the applicant if the extension is not granted, or if the visa is subsequently cancelled.[1]

This rule is published separately from the filing-deadline rule because the fee is set under a separate, independently-exercised Council of Ministers fee-uprating power and can change on its own schedule. The exact fee amount is not stated here: a daily rate exists in the primary text, but the wider comparison of fee amounts across the regulation has not yet been completed, so it is withheld pending that further work. This rule states only the fee consequence of a lapsed visa, not the immigration-status consequence — see overstay-trigger-and-grace-periods for the general unauthorised-presence trigger under Article 25(1)(a).
