Rule
An insured woman, or the non-insured wife of an insured man, is entitled to maternity health services (examination and birth care) with no separate residence condition stated. The same person is entitled to pregnancy/birth cash grants only if 120 days' maternity-insurance premium was paid in the preceding 12 months AND they have legally resided in the TRNC, continuously or not, for a total of 5 years.[1]
Exceptions
- This rule covers the structural distinction only. It does not establish the precise meaning of 'legally resided' (which permit types satisfy it, or whether visitor time counts) — the article's own text gives no further definition, and this is excluded from the rule.
- Article 35(2) carries a Law 53/2026 amendment marker; Law 53/2026's text remains unlocated after an extensive multi-channel search, so whether these specific clauses were touched by that amendment is NOT confirmed and is excluded from this Rule's confidence.
- Covers only an insured woman or an insured man's non-insured wife, as the text reads — does not address paternity/father-only insured cases or same-sex-partner scenarios.
