Rule
Letting TRNC property short-term (up to 60 days per stay) for tourism purposes is subject to a registration and operating-licence regime under the Holiday Homes Law No. 54/2025, administered by the Tourism Planning Department.[1]
Exceptions
- This Rule states only the EXISTENCE and APPLICABILITY of the licensing regime. The Founder has explicitly not reviewed and has not approved the detailed mechanics — fee amounts, licence duration, the detailed application procedure, property classifications, enforcement practice, or administrative interpretation are NOT stated here and must not be treated as Founder-approved; those remain governed by their own evidence/research status (see q-property-holiday-home-registration-and-licence-requirement's notes and the separate, unapproved candidates on guest-registration duties and the transitional compliance window).
- Whether the Hotels Law (Fasıl 138) or this Law is the operative instrument for a borderline case (e.g. a serviced apartment with some hotel-style services) is not addressed here.
