Rule
A foreigner applying for any type of TRNC residence permit who has no social-insurance right to public health services must pay a premium under the Health Fund Law (Sağlık Fonu Yasası), scaled to the length of the permit requested or intended.[1]
Exceptions
- The exact Health Fund Law citation (number/year) remains unlocated after three independent search channels (the Gazette index, mevzuat.gov.ct.tr, and the Ministry of Health's own current Laws listing) — Article 15(8) of the Residence Permits and Visas Regulation names it only as 'Sağlık Fonu Yasası'.
- Exact premium amounts and the Ministry's approved-private-insurer list were not found in any source and are not stated by this Rule.
- A Ministry-accepted private health insurance policy WAS a recognised statutory alternative to this premium from 2020-02-11 until, at latest, 2021-05-12 (A.E.350/2021) — it is NOT currently recognised as an alternative. A reader encountering the older alternative in secondary material should not rely on it.
