E-Vize is an online application channel, not a separate visa category

Rule record · last verified 22 September 2026

In force since 24 August 2026.

Rule

Under the E-Vize (Elektronik Vize) Regulation (A.E.783/2026, made under Article 20 of the Aliens and Immigration Law), foreign nationals from countries the Council of Ministers designates as subject to the e-Vize scheme apply online for any of the visa types already set out in Article 9 of the Residence Permits and Visas Regulation — it is a channel for existing visa types, not a separate category with its own entry conditions. Application criteria are set by the Ministry. Applications are to be resolved within 30 days, extendable to a maximum of 60 days for administrative reasons.[1]

Exceptions

  • Does not establish which countries are currently designated for the e-Vize scheme — that list is set by a separate, inherently volatile Council of Ministers decision, not stated in this Regulation.
  • Does not establish the Ministry's specific application criteria under Article 5(1)(B), nor any application fee.
