Beneficial ownership is identified via professionals' AML duties, not a public register

Rule record · last verified 22 September 2026

In force. Start date not confirmed in this record.

Rule

TRNC company beneficial-ownership identification is imposed on the professionals forming or administering a company, through AML Law customer-due-diligence duties applying a 25% ownership threshold — not via a direct public beneficial-ownership register for companies as such.[1]

Exceptions

  • Whether RKMMD itself independently collects or publishes beneficial-ownership data for companies, as opposed to the professional-intermediary duty confirmed here, was not established either way.
